Today’s modern cities are hybrid structures in which technology is invisibly interweaved in the perception layers of our everyday lives. With the curatorial theme of In/Visible Cities, in the framework of UNESCO’s International Year of Light, we want to develop an awareness on the changes which are hardly visible to the eyes and are underlying our nowadays cities.

Connecting Cities Projects at the SP_ Urban Digital Festival, Sao Paulo

From 07 November until 07 December 2014 the SP_ Urban Digital Festival takes place in Sao Paulo. This years' topic of the festival is 'Afterimage' and is curated and produced by Connecting Cities Partner Verve Cutural. The aim of the festival is to link architecture, art and media throughout new technologies. Main festival site is the SESI Building at the Avenida Paulista.

19 - 22 November 2014 Connecting Citites will attend the Media Architecture Biennale in Aarhus, Denmark.

Architects, designers and artists meet with academia and industry, when the world’s premier media architecture event takes place on 19-22 November in Aarhus, Denmark, with a pre-event in Copenhagen. Across professions and nationalities, participants will create and discuss the media architecture of the future. And they will investigate how media architecture shapes people’s lives in the cities of the world.
