This year’s Media Facade Summit organized by the Media Architecture Institute, in collaboration with The University of Hong Kong and co-located with the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair takes place from the 25 to 26 October. The 2-day event unites experts from industry and academia and serves as a platform to reflect about the latest developments and future of media architecture.
The conference investigates the potential of digital media for urban contribution in contemporary Western and Asian cities. It focuses on mediated façades that orient towards the screening of artistic and cultural content instead of showing advertising and commercials. This Media Facade Summit aims to shed light on alternative approaches and implementations for media within the realm of architecture.
