International Connecting Cities Conference
26 – 28 May 2014: International Connecting Cities Conference, Montréal, Canada
25 May – 1 June 2014: MUTEK festival, Montréal, Canada
The Connecting Cities Network is proud to announce the first International Connecting Cities Conference which will be taking place this spring in Montréal. From 26 to 28 May 2014 we take time to review our past activities but most of all to have a look at what's next: Connecting Cities evolved from a European into a worldwide expanding network pursuing the aim to build up a connected infrastructure of media facades and urban screens to circulate artistic and social content. There will be plenty of time to discuss and present the new projects, partners and the growing infrastructure on an international scale and have a look on the different local needs and practices in curating urban media. The Montréal programme will also contain the 2014 CCN curators’ workshop.
One of the hightlights will be Rafael Lozano-Hemmer as the Connecting Cities Conference keynote speaker on May 25.
As a follow-up, we strongly encourage you to plan a stay in Montréal from 25 May to 1 June to participate in the MUTEK festival and many other events of Montréal’s first Printemps numérique!
