CONNECTING CITIES @ LIGHT FESTIVAL GUANGZHOU AND NORTHBRIDGE PIAZZA PERTH

In the frame of the Guangzhou Light Festival (China) there will be sharing screens between the Northbridge Piazza in Perth (Western Australia) and Guangzhou. From 13 – 29 November the project ‘Peoples Screen’ offers people in Guangzhou and Perth the opportunity to co-create chance encounters and spontaneous interaction between these two cities.

CONNECTING CITIES @ CITY VISIONS JENA FESTIVAL

This week finally starts the City Visions Jena Festival, which is initiated by Public Art Lab Berlin and therefore closely linked to several projects and workshops of the Connecting Cities Network.

It’s a new light- and science festival in Jena, in the state of Thüringen in Germany. From October 8-11, 2015 City Visions Jena invites everyone to explore the curatorial topic of ‚invisible and visible cities‘ in a vibrant light parcours.

CONNECTING CITIES @ URBAN LIGHTS RUHR

From October 9 to 25, five Connecting Cities projects will be shown in the framework of Urban Lights Ruhr festival staged by CCN partner Urbane Künste Ruhr.

Urban Lights Ruhr highlights the city of Hagen, which has been undergoing momentous change. Artistic interventions momentarily direct our attention to light and the city and offer new perspectives on the familiar. The installed works form a light course that invites viewers to stroll, discover, and to play an active part in shaping this multi-layered city.

OPEN CALL FOR 'LIVE THE CITY: URBAN MEDIA PROJECT' @ BACC

In collaboration with the Goethe-Institute Thailand and Connecting Cities, the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre announced an Open Call for the media art project 'Live the City'. The project will take place in March 2016 and the deadline for proposals is October 16, 2015.
